What is it
The program runs in Nanaimo at Georgia Avenue School every Monday for two hours. Students from grades 4 to 7 are welcome to participate in a variety of activities that help them develop healthy living skills as well as form positive relationships with peers and community members.
Since its beginning participation in the program has increased significantly, with over 40 students now attending these after school sessions.
What happens there
Kids4Kids is an after school program that provides a safe, fun, and supportive place for children to learn and grow. Children participate in a variety of skill building activities that are supervised by passionate volunteers and members of the community.
Kids participate in activities such as, cooking, sewing, sports, and crafts helping to develop important life skills that will help them lead a healthy life style throughout their schooling and beyond. Children also grow as individuals forming positive relationships with community members while building up their confidence and resiliency.
