Nanaimo Youth Services Association seeks dynamic individuals to assist in the coordination of an innovative program, which assists employment disadvantaged youth to access training and find employment across various industries. The successful candidates will blend strong job development and marketing skills with sound knowledge of the construction /trades and customer service industries. The successful candidates will also have excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, and a well-developed capacity to support and assist at-risk youth.

The Program Assistant position is a 21 hours per week term certain position. This position can start immediately or as soon as possible. These positions require the incumbent to complete a criminal record check, have relevant training/education in the human services, and possess a valid BC driver’s license. Competitive wage & benefits.  This position and employment programs are delivered in Courtenay & the Comox Valley.

Youth Support Worker
Supportive Living Program

If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding employment experience Nanaimo Youth Services Association (NYSA) is seeking a - 1.0 FTE (35hrs per wk) employee for their Supportive Living Program. This is a term certain position to March 31, 2018 with possibility of ongoing employment.

Required education: BSW, or BACYC, and relevant experience working with youth and young adults. Knowledge of Crisis Intervention is highly desirable.
