Earning a driver’s license can provide aspiring youth and people of all ages with a boost to their self-esteem while also helping them acquire more meaningful employment.

In the context of the current pandemic, there is a significant increase in the number of driving jobs available to youth. Food delivery, parcel delivery and online sales delivery job postings have increased since the onset of COVID-19.

The L2N Driver Practice Program supports youth to acquire a Class 7 (N) BC driver’s license. NYSA has identified a need for driving experience options for our area’s youth from across all social-economic demographics.  To address this need, NYSA, along with partner Snuneymuxw First Nation, has implemented then L2N Driver Practice program which provides a vehicle and adult to accompany a young driver while they build their hours and experience behind the wheel.
